Author Biography: Yvonne Low specialises in the modern and contemporary arts of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Her research interests include the cultural politics of art development, women artists and feminist art history, and the colonial histories of British Malaya and the Dutch East Indies. She has taught Asian art history and architecture at NTU, UNSW and NAS. She holds a PhD from the University of Sydney.
