Telah Terbit was a special exhibition of the Singapore Biennale 2006. Held at the Singapore Art Museum from 1 September to 12 November 2006, it was intended to convey the historical background of contemporary art in Southeast Asia. By introducing the work of more than ten artists from the region, it examines the theme of form and figure in Southeast Asian art from the 1960s to the 1980s. The exhibition featured works from the collections of Singapore Art Museum, National Art Gallery of Malaysia, National Museum and Ateneo Art Gallery of the Philippines, artists and private collectors. This book is a documentation of the exhibition. It includes a curatorial essay and a chronology of contemporary art practices in Southeast Asia from 1964 to 1979.
