DERRICK LIM is a former primary school teacher and now a full-time tutor. He is blissfully married with two children. During his teaching years in a primary school, he discovered his love and passion for the English language. Since then, he has been teaching English passionately and expecting nothing short of the standard be taught to primary school students. In the course of teaching English, he sees a decline in the standard of the language both spoken and written. Plagued by this concern, he has brewed out the iconic figure, Anathe the wise owl, from his creative coffeepot and woven it into a children's tale. When he is not tutoring or writing, Derrick is found beguiling his time at a café with a good book.
